He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Fairbanks and Helen Fairbanks; his siblings, Dick, Bob and Mary; and his wife Lois Fairbanks (Uhl).

He is survived by: his children, Roger, Jr. (Val), Grace Schneider (Dave), Bill (Barb), Teresa Simmons (Dale) and Becky Fischer (Jeff).
