He is survived by: his wife Mary Gerken; his children, Schellie Lansing (Mike), Scherrie "Heidi" Stegmuller (Tim), John Gerken and Matt Freeman; his grandsons, Joshua Gerken, Trey Lansing, Anthony Gerken (Allie), Alec Tramontana, Jake Stegmuller, Tyler Byndon and Brandon Gerken; his great grandchild Arden Gerken; his siblings, Klaus and Ursela; and his brothers-in-law, John Gruber and Paul Gruber.
