He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Abbott and Shirley McAdams (Taylor); and his brothers, Wayne Abbott, Mike Abbott, Danny Abbott and Bill Abbott.
He is survived by: his wife Rhelda Marie Abbott; his children, Jimmie Dean Abbott Jr., Luke Monroe Earls, Dena Abbott, Ruby Young (Raymond) and Stephanie Abbott; and his siblings, Terry Abbott (Margaret) and Sharon Childress (Ronnie). He is also survived by several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
