She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ester and Mary Ann Ester (Brandt); and her brother Curtis Ester. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Cherry of Greendale, IN; her children, Bryan Cherry (Kimberley) of Greendale, IN and Sue Martin (Charles) of Greendale, IN; her sister Marsha Westerfeld (Ronald) of Greenfield, IN; her grandchildren, Trisha Cherry Hoyes (Scotty), Brad Cherry, Kelly Potter and Justin Heaton; and her great grandchildren, Nick, Nora, Henry and Beau. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
