He was predeceased by: his parents, George Frederick and Ada Pearl Prather (Johnson); and his sister Patricia Muncy. He is survived by: his wife Becky Prather of Greendale, IN; his children, Shawn Prather of Hebron, KY and Brandi Leming (Ben) of Ft. Wayne, IN; his stepchildren, Mike Schanding (Jennie) of Florence, KY and Michelle McGaha (Jason) of Burlington, KY; his brother Michael Prather (Linda) of Greendale, IN; and his grandchildren, Cooper Leming, Parker Leming, Trey Beal, Jacob McGaha, Kyleigh McGaha, Brandon Schanding, Lucas Schanding, Caitlyn Schanding and Allyson Schanding. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
