He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mitchell and Ada Mitchell (Spence); and his siblings, Henry Mitchell, Gerald "Sonny" Mitchell, Alma Boggs, Janie Beach and Larry "Pete" Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Mitchell (Rutledge); and his sisters, Helen Ross (Mickey) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dodie Lozier of Aurora, IN, Deloris Beach of Lawrenceburg, IN and Shirley Herald (Bill) of Bright, IN. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
