She was predeceased by: her parents, George Childers and Virginia Yates Kemper (Yates); her sons, Ricky Childers and Lance Childers; and her siblings, Nathaniel Childers, George Childers, Jeweldean Childers Grubbs, Phyllis Kemper, Ruth Childers Todd, Juanita Childers Fife, Rose Childers Starks and Joyce Childers.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Childers of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dorthea Childers of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dana Childers of Lawrenceburg, IN and Stacy Hawkins (Malia) of Lawerenceburg, IN; and her siblings, Kenneth Childers of Columbus, OH, Cisco Childers of Columbus, OH, Glenn Childers of Lawrenceburg, IN, Rita Kemper Thomas (William "Bucky") of Lawrenceburg, IN, Mary Childers Meleschi and Peggy Childers. She is also survived by several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Union Valley Baptist Church (530 Martin Luther King Dr, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
