He was predeceased by: his parents, Huel "Pete" Manuel and Bertha A. Manuel (Lowery); his sons, David and Mark Anthony; and his siblings, Nellie Manuel, Effie Frost, Nancy Melton, James Slover and Joe Manuel.
He is survived by: his daughter Lavetta Ritchie of Texas; and his sister Rease White. He is also survived by several grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
