He was predeceased by: his wife Olive "Tootie" Alvey; his daughter Debra Alvey; and his siblings, Betty Klein, Marvin G. Alvey and Larry D. Alvey.
He is survived by: his son Gary; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Alvey of Laurel, Indiana; his granddaughter Angela Shaffer (Bobby) of Centerville; his great grandchild Hailee Shaffer; his brother Dan; and his sister-in-law Brenda Alvey of Laurel, Indiana..
