She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Sr. Jones and Ora Jones (Marbut); her husband Val Mott Freeman III; and her siblings, Marvin Jones Jr., Robert "Rabbit" Jones, Mary Jones, Lynda Austin and James "Jimmy" Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Stacey Dawn Teeters (Norris) of Lapel, Mark Traylor (Tonya) of Hodges and Curtis Freeman (Stephanie) of Odenville, Alabama; her grandchildren, Blaine Teeters, Tristen Teeters, Chelsea Johnson (Ryan), Aaron Thomas (Emily), Peyton Freeman (Taylor) and Chandler Freeman; her great grandchild Avery Kate; her sister Marie Ponder of Heflin, Alabama; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Jones of Jacksonville, Carol Daniels (Ray) of Heflin, Becky Allcorn (Roger) of Birmingham, Alabama and Harold Jones of Heflin, Alabama. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
