She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Guy Whetsel and Blanche Whetsel (Sinders); her siblings, Jay Emett Whetsel, Trevor Whetsel and Patty Lou Corn; and her grandsons, Jacob Morton Howell and Jay Clinton Howell.

She is survived by: her husband Jack Howell; her sons, Jimmie Jack Howell (Angie) of Lapel, Ronnie Howell (Laurie) of Muncie and Jon Howell (Penny) of Alexandria; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Huckeby (Barry), Courtney Rissman (Clint), J. R. Howell (Kate), Jordan Howell, Kayley Howell and Jodi Howell. She is also survived by Five great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren.
