It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert L. Shidler in Lapaz, Indiana, born in Grass Creek, Indiana, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shidler and Olive Shidler (Zeider). He is survived by: his children, Brian L. Shidler and Amy Scoular (Sean); his grandchildren, Tony, Cory, Danielle, Michael Shidler, Rachel and Jared Ward; his stepdaughters, Sharon Balka (Don) and Susan Good (Tim); his stepgrandchildren, Steve Balka (Amy), Paige Anderson (Dirk), Jason Good (Beth) and Danielle Kertai (Brad); and his wife Janice (Clabaugh). He is also survived by nine step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Teegarden 1st Brethren Church (16518 W 1st Rd, Walkerton, IN 46574). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
