Stewart E. Lewis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stewart E. Lewis of Laotto, Indiana, born in Wabash, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Lewis and Bertha Lewis (Kumley); his son Brian Lewis; and his siblings, David Lewis, Loretta Pedigo and Bettie Beagan.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Lewis (Heather) of Auburn and Jody Lewis of Kendallville; his stepchildren, Kevin Fryback of Fort Wayne, Kenneth Fryback of Decatur, Keith Fryback of Fort Wayne, Sara Mattax (Gary) of Fort Wayne and Sharon Wilber (Mike) of LaOtto; his grandchildren, Cassie, Rowan, Rhiannon and Raven; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Hadley, Ollie and Ruby; and his siblings, William "Bill" Lewis (Sue) of Fort Wayne, Larry "Smoke" Lewis of Fort Wayne, Glenna Robinson of Fort Wayne and Shirley Lewis of Fort Wayne.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Homes - Avilla Chapel (530 N Main St, Avilla, IN 46710). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (228 N Main St, Avilla, IN 46710).
Contributions in Stew's memory may be directed to Masses at St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Labre Indiana Mission School in Ashland, MT.
