He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicoli Polinuk and Anne Polinuk; his wife Shirley McConnell; and his granddaughter Gabrielle Marie Frauhiger. He is survived by: his children, Darcy Augenstein (Rich) of New Haven, Stephanie Detter (Mike) of Kendallville and Richard Polinuk of Auburn; his grandchildren, Eric Traxler (Angie), Abbey Mieritz (Steve), Phillip Coffel, Justin Traxler (Stacia), Brant Detter (Chaning) and Alex Coffel (Innah); his great grandchildren, Emma, Ethan Frauhiger, Callie, Blakely and Collin Detter; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Lillian and Rose Tarlton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
