He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burkett and Mary Burkett (Neff); his wife Maxine Burkett (Saylor); and his siblings, Gene Burkett, Betty Bailey, Hazel Hileman and Patti Henschen.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Evans (Dave) of Laotto, Indiana; his grandchildren, Shannon Riley (Andy) of Woodburn and Tim Wages (Beth) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Amelia Riley, Lucy and Elissa Wages; his stepgrandchildren, Carl Evans of Fort Wayne, John Evans of New Haven and Katie Evans of Columbia City, Indiana; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Trista, Abby, Mason and Jase Evans. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
