He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Cates (Rick) and Carol Baumgart (Randy); his grandchildren, Nathan Cates (Christy), Dustin Cates, Jonathan Cates (Jacqueline), Tara Nichols, Jacob Chanley and Danielle Haire; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Chelsea, Ruby, Jaxson and Camden; his sister Saundra Conrad (Forrest); and his close friend Jean Windhorst.
