We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2022, at the age of 99, Peter J. Schickel of Lanesville, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter J. Schickel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schickel and Clara Spath Schickel; his wife Joan Uhl Schickel; his siblings, Paul Schickel, Catherine Schickel, Mary Kirchgessner and Theresa Hobbins; and his son-in-law Tim Hardy.

He is survived by: his brother Herman Schickel, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky; and his children, Marilyn Lines (John) of Loveland, Colorado, Robert Schickel (Teresa) of Lanesville, Janet Hardy of Louisville, Carol Hoehn (Joe) of Corydon and Donna Zutt (Michael) of Louisville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Croix Hospice Support Foundation, 7755 3rd Street N, Suite 200, Oakdale, MN 55128 (all hospice donations will be used for local care); Lanesville Community Schools c/o Harrison County Community Foundation; Lanesville Youth League c/o Harrison County Community Foundation; St. Mary's Catholic Church co/ Harrison County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 279, Corydon, IN 47112.
