With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John A. Walter of Lanesville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Walter and Edith Walter (Benson); his daughter Angela Elder; his siblings, Mary Lou Bacon, Steve Walter, Aznor Stilger, Frances Loraine Hess, Irwin Walter, Leola Braun, Patsy Walter, Nick Walter, Patrick Walter and Rose Brown; and his grandson Thomas Elder.
He is survived by: his significant other Nancy Walter; his children, Tom Walter (Jeane), Jim Walter (Mary), Denise Sanders (Jeff), JoAnn Baker (Larry), Bob Walter (Cindy), Diana Kerr, Mike Walter (Brenda) and Tony Walter (Paula); and his siblings, Roberta Garrett and Jude Walter (Betty). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to Amedisys Hospice or St. Mary's Church Lanesville, Indiana.
