He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Mayfield and Irene Mayfield; and his siblings, Lucy Stewart, Doris Taylor, Martha "Loraine" Richert, Roscoe Mayfield Jr., Lawrence Mayfield, Bill Mayfield, Pauline Chaffin and Janet Mayfield.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Jean Mayfield (Small); his children, Roger Mayfield, Ricky Mayfield, Michael Mayfield and Sandra Sloan; and his grandchildren, Melissa Mayfield-White, Michelle Miller, Andrew Mayfield, Stacy Mayfield, Leanna Mayfield, Jessica Baird, Mary Mehl and Lyle Sloan. He is also survived by 13 Great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild.
