He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Baumgart and Hazel Zollman Baumgart; his wife Elaine Marie Leaf Baumgart; his son Bill Baumgart; and his siblings, Gerald "Bummy" Baumgart and Margaret Gunther.
He is survived by: his son Bob Baumgart (Kitty); his daughter-in-law Karen Baumgart; his grandchildren, Gretchen James, Greta Schneider (Kiel), Greg Baumgart (Sheree), Grant Baumgart, Russell Baumgart, Daniel Baumgart (Jo) and Angela Sellers; and his siblings, Willis "Hook" Baumgart and Saundra Conrad (Forrest). He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
