He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thien Sr. and Ora Lee Steele Thien; his wife Carol Marie Thien; and his close friend Remington Steele. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Beverly Niemeier (Deacon Bill) and William T. Daily Jr. (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
