With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert E. Schlachter of Lamar, Indiana, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on December 28, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jerome Schlachter and Mary Schlachter (Wooldridge); his children, Kathy S. Schlachter of Evansville, Bradley G. Hart of Humboldt, IA, David Schlachter (Tassane) of Eldersberg, MD and Roger Schlachter (Karen) of Louisville, KY; his sister Virginia Hollander of Evansville; his wife Jean Wellmeier; and his son Gary Schlachter. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
