She was predeceased by: her father Christian E. Leibering; and her nephews, Anderson and Parker. She is survived by: her mother Carole S. Leibering (Birchler); her husband Brian J. Peters; her children, Jacob (Chloe), Eddison (Mary), Luke, Xia, Sadie and Katie; her siblings, Phil (Jeannie), Shawn (Donna), Steve (Mary Beth), Matt (Gala) and Andie Vance (Joe); and her close friend Oakli. She is also survived by 52 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family or directly to the Spencer County Community Foundation for the Elisa and Brian Peters Memorial Scholarship for students entering the medical and science fields.
