He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe and Shirley Roop; his siblings, Ross Roop and Katherine Roop; and his brothers-in-law, Darrell Potee, George Frencl, Sr. and Ritchie Sosa.
He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Potee of Gary, Vickie Frencl of Hobart, Penny Sosa of Lake Station, Paula Verduzco (Vincent) of Miller and Walter Roop (Wendy) of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
