She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Harder and Frances Harder (Ashenbremer); her husband Joseph John Laas, Sr.; her sons, Joseph John Laas, Jr. and Steven Matthew Laas; and her siblings, Rita Kwasniewski, Robert Harder, Jerry Harder and Stanley Harder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Janes (Donald) of Lake Station, Peggy Dancer (Fred) of Hammond and Samara Laas (Jason Montpetit) of Lake Station; her grandchildren, Ashley Laas, Nikki Laas, JJ Laas, Aubrei Laas, Kara Janes (Ricardo), Brandon Laas (Sam), Anthony Laas (Tatyana), Kimber Janes, Christian Janes (Madilyn), Destiny Montpetit (Kyler) and David Whiting Dancer; her great grandchildren, Clare and Esmae; her sisters, Virginia Hall, Linda Stage (Richard), Pamela Mayo (James) and Mary Glover (John); and also Bill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and special friend.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
