He was predeceased by: his parents, George Haywood and Thelma Haywood; and his brother George Ivan Haywood. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Ricky Haywood (Vicki) of Lake Station, Daryl Haywood (Susie) of New Chicago, Catherine Kingery (Park) of Crown Point, Eva Cloyd (Steve) of Portage, Michael Thompson (Cindy) of Valparaiso and Mellody Forsythe (Michael) of Lake Station; his brother Roy Haywood (Dorothy) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Park Kingery, Jessica Redmon, Jody Howton, Jennifer Blankenship, Jillian Giangiulio, Ricky Haywood, Daniel Haywood, Scott Stover, Richie Haywood, Ashley Thompson, Jeremy Haywood, Dakota Guererro, Matthew Forsythe and Sarah Forsythe; and his nieces, Cheri and Rhonda. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
