Lena Marie Layne Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2023, at the age of 89, Lena Marie Layne of Lake Station, Indiana, born in Pikeville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Mayhorn and Louise Mayhorn; her husband Donald Layne; her daughter Dynia Layne; her grandson Steve Layne; and her brothers, Donnie Mayhorn and Glen Mayhorn.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Wolske; her grandchildren, Robert Thompson (Elizabeth), Jeremy Thompson (Melissa), Derek Hayes, Devin Bickett (Ashley) and Beverly Thompson (Jeremiah); her granddaughter-in-law Yolanda Markos; and her brother William Mayhorn. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials in Lena's honor may be made to the Indiana Veterans' Home or Alzheimer's Association.
