James Ronald Hughes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ronald Hughes of Lake Station, Indiana, who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Janice; his parents, James Hughes and Hilda Hughes; his brother Donald Hughes; and his son-in-law Frank Abila.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lara Richards (Scot) and Michelle Abila; his grandchildren, Dalton Richards, Lesley Erpelding (Adam), Natalie Abila (Zac Tharp), Ashley Abila (Adrian Eloisa), Reese Abila (Ken Coburn) and Allison Abila (Ernesto Fragoso); his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Richards, Joseph Erpelding and Lauren Erpelding; and his sister Eulalia Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Ron's name to the Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church.
