It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Varnell Clay Sr. of Lagro, Indiana, born in David, Kentucky, who passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie James and Walenie Clay (Castle); and his siblings, Gary Clay and Janet VanHoose. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Clay of Lagro; his children, Douglas Varnell Clay, Jr. (Monica) of Brownsburg, James Lee Clay (Carol) of Noblesville and Gretta Townsend (Lonnie) of North Manchester, Indiana; his grandchildren, Tammy Mirante (Stephen) of Fortville, Ashley Gearlds (Gary) of Avon, James Lee Clay, Jr. (Kelsey) of Noblesville, Shannon Clay-Emmitt of Brownsburg, Kayla VanDiepenbos (Alex) of Lagro and Denver Brown, Jr. (Amanda) of Laketon, Indiana; and his sister Regina Clay LeMaster of Kentucky. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
