He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Barrett and Mary Barrett (Curtis); and his sister Barbara Ann Landon. He is survived by: his children, Rick Barrett, Lafayette and Linda Owen (Robert); his grandchildren, Angela (Rob), Jason (Stephanie), Joseph, Andy (Karina), Sarah (Trent) and Kerry; his great grandchildren, Lynsey, Tysen, Noah, Breona, Braylyn, Trenten, Camren, Rowyn, Emmalee, Ava, Paisley, Rosalie, Ronnie and Bonnie; and his great great grandchild Levi.
