He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Pelfrey and Lilly Pelfrey (Carroll); his wife Ila Boggs; and his siblings, Irma Sweebe, Porter Pelfrey, Ralph Pelfrey, Ben Pelfrey and Paul Pelfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Melvin (Michael) of Greenback, TN, Clyde Pelfrey of Elizabeth City, NC, Timmy Pelfrey (Janice) of Hiram, GA, Keith (Joy Raber) of Goshen, IN and Clifton Pelfrey of LaGrange, IN; and his siblings, Wilma Gray of Shipshewana, IN, Irene Huggett (John) of Ohio, Walter Pelfrey of Kendallville, IN and Eugene Pelfrey (Barbara) of LaGrange, IN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Memorials may be donated in Raymond's memory to the Sturgis Evangelical Church or the Gideons.
