He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Gilman and Helen Gilman (Milliken); his former wife Evelyn Peterson; his son Geoffrey Gilman (Carla) of Seneca, SC; his grandchildren, James Gilman of Annapolis, MD and Madeleine Davis (Joseph) of Germantown, TN; his children, Cheryl Koester (Danny) of Elkhart, IN, Megan Schoenherr (Joshua) of Streetsboro, OH, Laura Yoder (Keith) of Chicago, IL, Monica Lazar (Mark) of Indianapolis, IN, Emily Lazar of Blowing Rock, NC, Evan Lazar of Tyrone, GA and Benjamin Lazar of Minot, ND; his great grandchildren, Hazel, Nathan, Hannah Schoenherr, Jack, Peter and Lydia Davis; his siblings, Arthur Gilman (Augusta) of Mishawaka, IN, Mary Bowerman of Osceola, IN, Bruce Gilman of Weston, CO. and Warren Gilman; and his wife Joan Eschelman (Ogalsbee).
