She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hoak and Margaret Hoak (Hunter); her former husband Preceding; her daughter-in-law Arlene Sumpter; her stepgranddaughter Mindy Rueckert; and her sisters, Phyllis Yoder, Shirley Carol Hoak and Sharon Ann Hoak.
She is survived by: her husband Eldon Sumpter; her children, Joan Sumpter of Greenfield, IN, Debra Misner (Randy) of Wolcottville, IN, Sherilyn Myers of Kansas City, MO, William "Bill" Sumpter of Prole, IA and Robert "Bob" Sumpter of Howe, IN; her grandchildren, Derek Sumpter (Liz), Ehren Misner (Wendy), Ryan Misner (Nicholle), Shawn Clark, Jamie Clark Young (Bryan), Mark Sumpter (Sarah), Laura Lindsay Sumpter Cardosa, Kate Sumpter (Zaden), Michelle Myers-Coleman and Sony Sumpter; and her stepgrandchildren, Devon Miller (Linda), Shawn Thoms (Patty) and Kelly Fields (Kelly). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
