He was predeceased by: his parents, Trueman Hostetler and Florence Hostetler (Mast) of LaGrange, Indiana.. He is survived by: his wife Ellen J. Dyson; his sister Margaret Yoder (John) of Middlebury, IN; his siblings-in-law, Maurice Hooley of LaGrange, IN and Mary Hostetler of Leo, IN.; and his children, Richard "Dick" Hostetler (Fran) of Churubusco, IN, Sue McAlpin (Jamie) of Livingston, TN, Paula Herron (Jeff) of Edmond, OK, Philip "Phil" Hostetler (Dianne) of LaGrange, IN, Patricia "Pat" Fry (Jim) of LaGrange, IN, Craig Hostetler (Carole) of Florissant, MO, Terry Hostetler of St. Anthony, ID and Cheryl "Cheri" Todd (Ron) of Rigby, ID.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren.
Those who knew him best could tell you he was victorious over the Covid virus but died of a broken heart and the loneliness and separation brought on by being isolated in a lock-down.
