It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Carol Sparger of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chadwell Rhymer and Hattie Rhymer (Clonce); her husband David Eugene Sparger; her grandson Nathan Sparger; and her brother Ronnie Rhymer.
She is survived by: her children, Tracey McMasters (John) of Lafayette, Steve Sparger (Patty) of West Point, Stacey Sparger of Wichita, KS and Rick Sparger (Dawn) of West Lafayette; her siblings, Brenda Durham (Jeff) of Indianapolis, Dorothy Ruckel (Jack) of Lafayette, James Rhymer (Jean) of Lafayette, Chadwell Rhymer of Lafayette and Daniel Rhymer (Sue) of Monticello; her grandchildren, Reed Grimes, Makenzie Grimes, Evan McMasters, Megan Sparger, Julian Leblanc, Christopher Gustafson and Kimberly Mize; and her great grandchildren, Maizlyn Sparger, Addison Mize, Kaisha, Atreus and Kasara Gustafson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Soller-Baker Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lafayette Chapel (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909).
