With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna L. Freels in Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on March 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mulder and Altha Mulder; and her husband Billy Freels. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Blackwell (Scott) and Timothy Freels (Missy); her grandchildren, Brittany Poore (Colin), Lindsey Freels, Dylan Blackwell, Logan Blackwell (Sarah) and Michael Freels; and her great grandchildren, Quinn Poore, Remy Freels, Banks Poore and Sawyer Blackwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family warmly suggests charitable donations in Verna's memory to Natalie's Second Chance Dog Shelter or Food Finders Food Bank in Lafayette, Indiana.
