He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Korty and Marian Korty; and his siblings, Daniel Korty, David Korty, Juliann Eickholtz and Bernadette Korty.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Korty; his children, James Korty (Michelle Korty), Elisa Strange (Michael Strange), Ryan Korty (Kathy Korty) and Marlene Darnell (Ashley Darnell); his siblings, Helen Beiswanger (Harold), Lucy Tormoehlen, Dorothy Thise (Mark), Herman Korty (Karen), Jane Synovec (Roger), Norbert Korty, Jr. (Leah), Isidore Korty, Tom Korty (Nancy) and Ruth Grider (Fred); and his siblings-in-law, Annette Korty, Raymond Eickholtz, Betty Korty, Sharon Korty, Rebecca Korty and Richard Tormoehlen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette, IN, or with Franciscan Health Foundation, Patient Assistance Fund, or Palliative and Hospice Care.
