With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon J. Powers (Lafayette, Indiana), born in New Albany, Indiana, who passed away on November 4, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Janit Qualio (Warder) and Conrad James; her stepfather John Qualio, Sr.; her brother Phillip Qualio; and her daughter-in-law Lori Powers (Wetli).
She is survived by: her husband Bill (Bill); her siblings, John Qualio, Jr. (Lafayette), Jim James (Omaha), Roseanna (Qualio), Hatke (Lafayette) and Connie James (Pennsylvania); and her grandchildren, Lindsey (Denver) of Lafayette, Tyler of Lafayette, Lilly of Lafayette and Trevor Powers of Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sharon's name to Lafayette Catholic School System Teacher Endowment Fund or Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lafayette.
