Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Martin Pracht of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 91, on December 16, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Pracht and Notburga Pracht (German Immigrants); his former wife Mary Elizabeth Lee of Williamsville, MO; his son Phil Pracht; and his siblings, Louis Pracht, Herman Pracht, Alphons Pracht, Max Pracht Jr., Blanche Pracht, Anna Pracht, Amelia Tampow, Hilda Rievley and Helen Hoh.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Pracht; his sister Betty Skroska; his sons, Chris Pracht and John Pracht; his stepchildren, Jeff Barton, Diane Olivas, Theresa Peters (Joe) and Lori McCormack (Sean); his grandchildren, Miranda Benson-Catron, Andrew Pracht and Lauren Pracht; and his stepgrandchildren, Zoe Barton, Vanessa Kingery, Venita McCormick, Maria Abdoo (Josh), Catherine Peters, Michelle Schriner (Derek) and Timyael Novicki. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (1916 Meharry St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to St. Ann Soup Kitchen.
