With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Hieatt (Lafayette, Indiana), born in Connersville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by : his parents, Claud Hieatt and Loretta Hieatt (Jobe); his sisters, Sarajean Paul, Patricia Cox, Betty Hamilton and Sue Wesner; and his son-in-law Steve Hewitt.
He is survived by : his spouse Shirley Ann (Eberly); his children, Jennifer Hewitt and Michael Hieatt (Tracy); his grandsons, Dustin Hieatt (Emily), Andrew Hieatt (Corrie), Tanner Hieatt (Kristen), Nick Hewitt (Michelle) and Nathan Hewitt (Bobbi); and his great grandchildren, Jaden Hewitt, Lilly Hieatt, Porter Hieatt and Magnolia Brattain.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Soller-Baker Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lafayette Chapel (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
