He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger A. Spencer and Maureen Mattingly Spencer; his wife Sheryl Spencer (Thornton); his children, Sarah Elsner (Mark) and Jason Spencer (Amber Ross); his grandchildren, AJ, Ryan, Reese, Parker, Joe and Abby; and his siblings, Tom (John), Jimmy DeBoy, Steve Spencer, Mary Patzschke, Cathy DeBoy and Matt Spencer.
A reception was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the The Outpost (2501 Old US 231 South, Lafayette, IN 47909).
