He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Smith and Margaret (Peg). He is survived by: his wife Julie A. Kemnetz Smith of Lafayette; his children, Heather R. Smith Haas (Kevin) of Lafayette, Grant M. Smith of Lafayette and Jenny M. Smith (Ashley) of West Lafayette; his grandchildren, McKenna Ashby, Lincoln Haas, Noble Haas, Cash Smith and Kennedy Smith; his great grandchild Malachi German; and his sister Janice Skilondz Stokowski (Larry) of Normal, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
