He is survived by: his wife Marlene Dexter; his children, Douglas Herr of Lafayette, Connie Brooks (Randy) of Delphi, Tom Herr (Jill Bertram) of Yeoman and Richard Herr of Lafayette; and his sisters, Edith Ratlif of Paragon, IN and Kathy.
