She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Knowlton and Pauline Knowlton (Kelver); her husband Carl Delaney; and her brothers, Jerry and David Knowlton.

She is survived by: her children, Dawn Beutner (Thomas) of Annandale, VA, Scott Delaney of Lafayette and Eric Delaney (Amy) of Portland, OR; her siblings, Sharon Halsey (Ray) of Tyner and Gene Knowlton (Diane) of North Liberty; and her grandchildren, Katherine Beutner, John Beutner, Corwin Delaney, Jacob Delaney and Sarah Delaney.
