She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Lauderdale and Mary Lauderdale (Rhine); her husband Eugene "Buzzy" Howard; and her brother Eric Lauderdale. She is survived by: her children, Grant O'Leary (Jenny) of Brookston and Jesse O'Leary of Lafayette; her siblings, Deb Lauderdale and Jennifer Nelson; her grandchildren, Brittany Sapp (Tyler), Dylan Norfleet, Nicholas Dulin and Aydan Handy; and her great grandchild Lucas Sapp.
