Joyce Ellen Hanstra Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ellen Hanstra of Lafayette, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Ellen Hanstra to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Buttery and Wilhelmina Buttery (Wagner); her husband David Hanstra; and her sister Judy Weller. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Hanstra (Linda) of Niles, Elizabeth Krogmann (Paul) of West Lafayette, Daniel Hanstra of Lafayette and Michael Hanstra of Lafayette; her brother John Buttery (Jane) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Jared, Seth (Maddie), Leah, Chloe, Kelleigh and David; and her great grandchildren, Oliver Thomas and Eloise Joy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lafayette Christian Reformed Church (1200 Tippecanoe St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Lafayette Christian School or Lafayette Christian Reformed Church.
