He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Brooks and Mae Brooks (McBride). He is survived by: his children, Cynthia J. Jennings of Lafayette, Brad P. Brooks (Heather) of Lafayette and Ann M. Benham (Judie Watts) of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Eric, Jessica, Keaton, Brooks and Brandon. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
