With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Hopkins of Lafayette, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2024 at the age of 66. As Janet departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janet. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harvey and Violet Harvey. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Hopkins; her children, Mollie Rae Hopkins of Lafayette and Casey M. Hopkins of Lafayette; her goddaughter Alisa Williamson; and her siblings, Judy Palmer (Rick) of Georgia, Hella Ashby of Germany and Gerd Holzmacher of Germany.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simplicity Funeral Care (1608 Schuyler Ave, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
