James Russell House Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 87, James Russell House of Lafayette, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell House and Stella Mae House (Fleischhauer); his sister Mary Louise; his former wife Joanne; his daughter Judy; his grandsons, Jacob Haan, Grant and Griffin House; his great grandchild Charlie Newton; and also Jason Yost.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Haan (Jeff) of Lafayette, Janet Sheets (Rex) of Lafayette, Jay Russell House (Tamara) of Lafayette and Marcia Golden (Ken) of Edwardsville, IL; his wife Ruth Yost; and his stepson Jon Yost. He is also survived by her 4 grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Immanuel United Church of Christ (1526 S 18th St, Lafayette, IN 47905). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ or GRANT'S HOUSE, Wabash Center.
