He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hilderbrand and Vera Hilderbrand (Arnold); and his sisters, Phyllis Jean Bowman, Patty Marie Hilderbrand and Anita Roe.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hilderbrand; and his children, James Jr., Charles and Trisha. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
